Straight answers on pricing, setup and what the AI assistant actually does for a Sri Lankan tuition class.
Mentis is an AI-powered learning management system (LMS) built for tuition teachers and institutes in Sri Lanka. It combines batches, timetables, attendance, fee tracking, notes, assignments and student progress reporting in one dashboard, with Google Gemini handling the repetitive work such as drafting notes, quizzes and lesson summaries.
Mentis costs LKR 10,000 per month, which covers up to 100 students. Each student beyond 100 adds LKR 100 per month, and the optional AI features add-on is LKR 2,000 per month. A class of 250 students with AI enabled therefore costs LKR 27,000 a month.
Yes. Your first batch is free, and institutes get a 14-day trial with no card required. You can move your whole institute across once the first batch is running.
Mentis is used by three groups: individual tuition teachers running a single subject, tuition classes and panels with several teachers sharing a timetable and fee register, and institutes or academies that need branches, staff roles, admissions and branch-level reporting.
The assistant is powered by Google Gemini. You point it at your own material and ask in plain language — for example “make 10 MCQs from this chapter” or “which students missed more than three classes this month” — and it drafts revision notes, quizzes, worksheets, parent messages and lesson summaries for you to review. AI features are an optional LKR 2,000 add-on.
Yes. Attendance is marked in seconds per batch and rolls up into monthly reports, while the fee register shows who has paid for the month and sends payment reminders. Both sit in the same dashboard, so you never reconcile two spreadsheets.
Most tuition teachers set up in an afternoon. You create batches, set class times and share a join code with students — no IT team and no installation are needed.
